Peek-a-boo Baby Blanket

I thought it was about time for another baby afghan pattern. It couldn’t possibly be because I just love making baby afghans, right? LOL But this one is a little different. It’s reversable! One side is white, with little windows crocheted into it so that you can see the varying colors of the stripes behind it. This one is nice and warm, being double-sided and all. As always, you can use any colors you want…or make the flipside solid. Or, if you don’t want such a thick blanket, you can make just one side, though you will be missing out on that whole peek-a-boo thing.

This pattern is very easy and is worked entirely in double crochet, with the exception of the first row of single crochet to add stability. Even the edging is pretty straight forward and simple. This one is sized more for the newborn or preemie, being just 35 inches square. It’s also designed to be extra warm. I hope you have as much fun making it as I did designing it. You can find the pattern here.

Best always,

Trish
