Here’s what I’ve been up to
It’s been a bit since I’ve posted and this pattern is why. It took quite a while to get everything perfect or even to figure out exactly which stitch would give me the crisp lines and color changes that I was looking for. I’m really happy with the result, though, so it was worth it.
The entire thing is worked in panels, made in Tunisian Simple Stitch and joined as you go. The angles you see are created by decreasing stitches at one end and increasing stitches at the other. The result is a dense, colorful blanket that will definitely keep you warm on those cold evenings. The best part? No joining. You can also use a regular crochet hook for the small and medium sizes, though I think you might have to graduate to an afghan hook for the large.
I went with bright primary colors for impact, but you could use any color combination you want. All yarn is Red Heart Super Saver and the colors are as follows:
I think this would absolutely be stunning in black and white, or even in a monochrome color scheme. The choice is up to you! Whatever colors you choose, I hope you have as much fun making it as I did.
If you’re ready, head on over and get the pattern here.
Until next time,
Trish
